University of Poonch Hosts Seminar on Pharmacy Career Development

Rawalakot: The Department of Pharmacy at the University of Poonch organized a seminar titled “Journey from Student to Expert in Pharmacy: Residency and Certification Opportunities,” aimed at equipping pharmacy students with essential career insights and networking opportunities.

According to University of Poonch Rawalakot, the seminar featured Dr. Rehan Anjum from Shifa International Hospital Islamabad as the main speaker, who shared valuable information on career paths in pharmacy, the significance of internships, and practical experience. Dr. Anjum emphasized the importance of engaging in professional associations like the American Pharmacists Association and participating in pharmacy conferences and seminars to enhance professional growth and development.

The seminar also highlighted the critical role of continuous learning and staying informed about new technologies and developments in pharmacy. Dr. Anjum urged students to seek distinguished recognition in their field through study, experience, and interaction with experts. He also noted the importance of understanding the interplay between healthcare and the pharmaceutical industry and maintaining active involvement in research.

Dean of Medical Sciences Dr. Shahid Iqbal, in his welcoming remarks, expressed gratitude towards the guest speakers and stressed the university’s intention to prepare students for real-world challenges by providing opportunities to learn from experienced professionals. Dr. Abid Hussain, Chairman of the Department of Pharmacy, outlined the seminar’s objectives and extended his thanks to the attendees for their active participation and engagement.
