Lahore: The Business School of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) held a review session aimed at refining the marketing strategies for its degree programs, seeking to attract a larger student base to its various undergraduate and postgraduate offerings.
According to University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, the session was chaired by UVAS Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr. Muhammad Younus and attended by several deans and faculty members across different campuses. Prof Dr. Younus emphasized the need for a robust marketing campaign to draw students nationwide and increase enrollment across all UVAS campuses. He advocated for committed and sustained efforts from the faculty to promote the university’s diverse academic programs effectively.
The meeting featured a key presentation by Prof Dr. Rana Muhammad Ayyub, Chairman of the Department of Economics and Business Management, who discussed the potential of social media marketing strategies for UVAS. Dr. Ayyub outlined various digital marketing tactics, including the use of mobile apps, digital channels, online reviews, and promotional campaigns. He also stressed the importance of continuous marketing activities throughout the year, recommending the annual allocation of a specific budget for marketing and the hiring of a professional firm to manage synchronized campaigns.
Furthermore, Dr. Ayyub proposed the development of an interactive mobile app specifically for UVAS, highlighting its necessity to keep up with modern digital trends and to engage prospective students more effectively.
