University of Sargodha Enhances Academic Staff with 120 New Appointments and Promotions

Sargodha: The University of Sargodha announced the appointment and promotion of 120 faculty and staff members, following the approval by the university syndicate. The move includes a significant number of academic positions aimed at bolstering the university’s educational and research capacities.

According to University of Sargodha, the newly issued notification details the appointment of 4 professors, 43 associate professors, 50 assistant professors, and 23 non-teaching staff members. These changes were celebrated during a special ceremony organized by the Registrar’s office, where the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, distributed office orders to the appointees and promoted individuals.

Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, addressing the ceremony, congratulated the new and promoted faculty and staff. He emphasized their role in enhancing the academic and research standards at the university, both nationally and globally. He highlighted that these appointments and promotions reflect the university’s commitment to providing high-quality education and supporting its mission through enhanced academic and research activities.

Registrar Waqar Ahmad pointed out that the regular convening of selection board meetings has been pivotal in providing professional growth opportunities for the faculty. He noted that 82 faculty members have been promoted and the addition of new faculty members has positively impacted the student-to-teacher ratio, aligning it with the standards set by the Higher Education Commission.

The event was attended by key university figures, including Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mian Ghulam Yasin, Deans of faculties, teaching and administrative heads, as well as the newly appointed and promoted faculty and staff members.
