Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that its offices will be closed on Tuesday, July 16, and Wednesday, July 17, in observance of Ashura, which marks the 9th and 10th of Muharram. Normal operations will resume on Thursday, July 18.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board, during the closure, specific contacts will be available for urgent inquiries. Those needing assistance related to the ACC Women’s Asia Cup-bound Pakistan Women’s cricket team should reach out to Mr. Syed Nazir Ahmed, Manager of Media and Communications, via phone or email. For all other matters, Mr. Raza Kitchlew, General Manager of Media, will be available to address queries.
The observance of Ashura is a significant time for reflection and remembrance in the Islamic community, commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussain, a central figure in Islamic history.
