Islamabad, Today marks the Universal Day of Jannat-ul-Baqi Demolition, an event organized under the guidance of Tehreek Nafez Fiqh Jafaria Pakistan to remember the destruction of historical and religious sites. The day is observed with various activities including mourning processions and rallies worldwide, aiming to reflect on religious significance and advocate for the reconstruction of destroyed sites.
According to Tehreek Nafaze Fiqhe Jafariya, the observance was established by Quaid Millat Jafaria Aghasyed Hamid Ali Shah Mousavi following directives from Allama Aghasyed Hussain Maqdisi. Events across the globe will see the participation of scholars and intellectuals from all schools of thought, who will deliver speeches on the significance of the day in light of the Quran and Hadith. The peaceful protests are also meant to draw attention from international organizations, the Islamic Conference, and human rights groups to the cause of reconstructing Jannat-ul-Baqi and other Islamic relics destroyed six years ago by Al Saud.
Syed Samar-ul-Hasan Naqvi, the committee secretary, presided over a meeting to finalize the day’s activities, emphasizing the need for widespread media coverage to highlight the issue internationally. He also called for special security measures to ensure the peaceful conduct of events and expressed hope that justice would prevail for the oppressed through these global efforts.
