National Textile University Raises Awareness on Social Media Impact Through Declamation Contest

Faisalabad, Addressing the pressing issue of social media’s influence on youth and education, National Textile University (NTU) Faisalabad has initiated an awareness campaign for its students. The campaign kicked off with a declamation contest organized by the NTU Debating Club, which took place on February 15, 2024. The event aimed to provoke thought and discussion about the role of social media in shaping academic and social behaviors.

According to National Textile University, the contest provided a platform for students to express their views on the complexities of social media usage. By examining both the beneficial and detrimental impacts of social media on educational pursuits and the youth, the NTU community seeks to develop well-informed strategies for its student body.

The declamation contest is part of a broader campaign by NTU to equip students with the knowledge to navigate the challenges posed by digital platforms. As social media becomes increasingly intertwined with daily life, the university recognizes the necessity of addressing its effects on students’ focus, mental health, and learning outcomes.
