Punjab University Researcher Analyzes COVID-19 Public Health Policies in Lahore

Lahore, The Institute of Social and Cultural Studies at the University of Punjab recently held a public defense for Mr. Muhammad Aamer Aslam, a Ph.D. scholar in Public Health. His dissertation presented a critical analysis of the public health policies and interventions deployed to control the COVID-19 pandemic in Lahore, providing insight into the epidemic’s dynamics within the city.

According to University of The Punjab, Mr. Aamer Aslam’s defense, which took place on March 29, 2024, focused on his work titled “Modeling the Epidemic Dynamics and Control of COVID-19: An Analysis of Public Health Policies and Intervention to Combat COVID-19 in Lahore, Pakistan.” The event was open to M.Phil. and Ph.D. scholars, along with faculty members, emphasizing the university’s inclusive approach to academic discourse and knowledge sharing.

The successful completion of Mr. Aamer Aslam’s viva voce examination signifies an important contribution to the body of knowledge on managing public health crises.
