Pakistan and Saudi Arabia Commit to Enhanced Bilateral Cooperation

Islamabad, In a significant meeting at Aiwan-i-Sadr, Islamabad, Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have pledged to strengthen their longstanding bilateral relations, focusing on mutual development and cooperation.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, the meeting between President Asif Ali Zardari and Saudi Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud was marked by mutual assurances to bolster collaboration across various sectors. Key Pakistani and Saudi officials, including Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, participated, underscoring the depth of the two nations’ partnership.

President Zardari expressed gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s consistent support and admired the leadership of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, recognizing their vision for Saudi progress. On his part, Prince Khalid emphasized the historical and strategic alliance between the countries, advocating for enhanced joint efforts toward regional prosperity and closer economic ties.

Highlighting the occasion’s significance, President Zardari bestowed the Nishan-i-Pakistan award on Prince Khalid for his distinguished contributions to reinforcing Pakistan-Saudi relations and promoting regional peace, a gesture reflecting the strong diplomatic and defense bonds shared by the nations.
