Punjab University Raises Awareness on World Wildlife Day

Lahore, In observance of World Wildlife Day, Punjab University’s Institute of Zoology conducted an awareness walk, engaging students and faculty in conservation education. The event featured thematic attire and informative stops designed to enhance participants’ knowledge and commitment to protecting wildlife.

According to University of The Punjab, the walk, led by Professor Dr. Zulfiqar Ali of the Institute of Zoology, underscored the university’s initiative to instill the significance of wildlife preservation among the academic community. The two-part event started on the university’s campus and concluded at the Changa Manga Wildlife Sanctuary. It provided an interactive platform for learning about local species, ongoing conservation endeavors, and the responsibilities towards animals kept in semi-wild conditions.
