Raja Pervaiz Ashraf Leads PPP Candidates in Meeting at Maktab Shia Ali Masjid

Rawalpindi, In a significant gathering at the Maktab Shia Ali Masjid headquarters, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan and Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf led the candidates of the National and Provincial Assembly from the Pakistan Peoples Party.

According to Tehreek Nafaze Fiqhe Jafariya, the meeting included important religious and political figures from Islamabad and the Rawalpindi region. Allama Basharat Hussain Emami, Secretary General of TNFJ, and Zulfikar Ali Raja, Chairman of the Political Cell, were among the prominent attendees. The event symbolized the party’s ongoing engagement with key religious communities.

Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf reminisced about the longstanding connection between the PPP and Maktab Shia Ali Masjid, tracing it back to the era of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and the leadership of Quaid Millat Jafaria Agha Hamid Ali Shah Mousavi, a revered scholar and unifying figure among Muslims.

Allama Basharat Hussain Emami emphasized the Shia community’s commitment to using their voting rights for the broader interests of the country. He announced that the Shia community would present a dignified election policy, reflecting their sustained political relations.

Zulfiqar Ali Raja expressed gratitude towards Raja Pervez Ashraf and the delegation, acknowledging the PPP’s efforts to maintain a distance from sectarian animosity. He highlighted Mr. Mousavi’s legacy in prioritizing national welfare and development.

Allama Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi remarked on the enduring influence of Mr. Mousavi’s teachings at Ali Masjid, even after his demise, and the ongoing efforts of the prayer center in serving the nation and humanity.

The meeting concluded with prayers for the prosperity and success of Pakistan and its people, as well as for the nation’s defense.
