Liaquatpur, Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, addressed a large public gathering in Liaquatpur, emphasizing the party’s dedication to contesting the upcoming elections with determination and introducing significant welfare initiatives for the people.
According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Chairman Bilawal expressed his pleasure to be among the people of Liaquatpur and sent a strong message to the politicians of Lahore, asserting that the PPP will contest with determination and is poised for victory. He highlighted the PPP’s unique position as the only party contesting the election on a manifesto, focusing on addressing poverty, inflation, and unemployment.
The Chairman outlined the PPP’s 10-point economic charter, including devolving 17 federal ministries and reallocating subsidies from the elite to the masses. He emphasized the party’s commitment to doubling wages, providing free electricity to deserving citizens, building houses with ownership for women, and expanding the Benazir Income Support Programme. Additionally, the PPP aims to introduce the ‘Benazir Kissan Card’ and ‘Benazir Mazdoor Card’ for financial assistance to farmers and laborers, the ‘Benazir Youth Card’ for supporting the youth, and the ‘Bhook Mitao Programme’ to combat hunger.
Chairman Bilawal’s speech also included a critical assessment of the rival political party, PML-N, and its repeated tenures in power. He contrasted the PPP’s focus on the people’s welfare with PML-N’s alleged indifference to public suffering.
The Chairman concluded by encouraging the people of Punjab to vote for the PPP, assuring them of a government dedicated to their interests and the completion of development projects in South Punjab. He expressed confidence in the PPP’s representatives and called for public support to bring about a government committed to the people’s welfare.
