Jamaat-e-Islami Fields 533 Candidates in Provincial Assemblies Elections, Appeals Filed for Rejected Nominations

Karachi, Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan has announced the participation of 533 candidates in the general seats of the four provincial assemblies in the upcoming elections. Dr. Farid Paracha, Naib Emir and Secretary Election Cell of Jamaat-e-Islami, revealed this information during a meeting held at the central election cell in Mansurah.

According to Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Dr. Farid Paracha stated that 16 candidates of Jamaat-e-Islami had their nomination papers rejected on technical grounds. The party has filed appeals in the Election Tribunal against these rejections. He mentioned that, in total, 231 candidates from Jamaat-e-Islami are participating in the 266 seats of the National Assembly. The meeting also saw the participation of Deputy Amir and Chairman Election Cell Liaqat Baloch and Deputy Amir Rashid Naseem.

Dr. Paracha elaborated on the ongoing election campaign, noting that candidates are actively campaigning and receiving daily reports from provincial and district leaders. He also highlighted that a significant number of political and social figures are joining Jamaat-e-Islami across the country, indicating growing support for the party.

This announcement underscores Jamaat-e-Islami’s extensive participation in the upcoming elections and its efforts to overcome technical hurdles in the nomination process.
