Karachi, The 4th meeting of the Molecular Biology Consortium (MBC) was held at the Jinnah Burn and Reconstructive Surgery Centre (JB&RSC;) in Lahore, marking a significant step forward in the field of scientific research in Pakistan. The meeting brought together eminent figures from the medical and scientific community to discuss advances and collaborations in molecular biology.
According to University of The Punjab, the meeting was presided over by Prof. Dr. Javed Akram, Minister for Specialized Health Care and Medical Education Punjab. Prof. Dr. Ayesha Arif, Principal of Allama Iqbal Medical College and Executive Director of JB&RSC;, co-chaired the event. The gathering also saw the participation of Prof. Dr. Moazzam N. Tarar, Founding Executive Director of MBC, who elaborated on the origins and development of the consortium.
The meeting was attended by notable academics and clinicians, including Prof. Dr. Masood Sadiq, Vice Chancellor of University of Child Health Sciences, Children Hospital Lahore, and representatives from JB&RSC; and King Edward Medical University (KEMU). Director of the Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB) Prof. Dr. Moazur Rahman and Director of CAMB Prof. Dr. Rehan Sadiq were present as well, both expressing appreciation for the scientific achievements of MBC and affirming their support for its future endeavors.
This gathering highlighted the collaborative efforts and advancements made by MBC in the field of molecular biology in Pakistan.
