Minister of Religious Affairs Highlights Role of Women in Hajj Training Program at IIUI

Islamabad, At the closing ceremony of the Hajj Master Trainers training program for women, organized by the Dawah Center for Women at the International Islamic University (IIUI), Minister of Religious Affairs Interfaith Harmony Aneeq Ahmed emphasized the importance of women in religious education and the Hajj pilgrimage. He highlighted the significance of Hajj as a spiritual journey and the pivotal role of women in transferring religious values to future generations.

According to International Islamic University Islamabad, Minister Aneeq Ahmed announced that this year, the Ministry will provide women pilgrims with an Abaya featuring the Pakistan flag, symbolizing national identity during the pilgrimage. He stressed the vital role of women in Islamic society, particularly as mothers and sisters, and noted that trainers from the IIUI’s Dawah Center for Women would be integral in the Ministry’s Hajj training programs.

The Minister underscored the importance of strengthening the relationship with Allah and the Prophet (PBUH) and forming a society based on religious principles. He affirmed the joint commitment of the Ministry and the University in conducting Hajj training.

Rector of IIUI, Prof. Dr. Samina Malik, praised the Ministry and the Dawah Center for Women for their efforts in the Hajj training program, acknowledging the successful representation of women from across the country. Dr. Malik expressed her pride in the participants, who are now considered ambassadors of IIUI.

Dr. Abdul Rehman, Federal Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, revealed plans to extend the training period for pilgrims and the launch of a mobile app by the Ministry to guide pilgrims during Hajj. This app will include special training videos from the program’s trainers.

Dr. Faryal Anbarin, in-charge of the Dawah Center for Women, presented a detailed report on the center’s history, role, and activities, including the course’s content and sessions. She mentioned that the university’s certificate is recognized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The program concluded with the presentation of gifts to guests and resource persons, marking the successful completion of the training course.
