Karachi, Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party and former Foreign Minister, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has extended his felicitations to the Sikh community on the occasion of the 554th birthday of Guru Nanak Devji. The celebrations are set to occur globally, including at Nankana Sahib in Pakistan, the birthplace of Guru Nanak.
According to Pakistan People’s Party, in his message, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari emphasized that Guru Nanak’s teachings are aimed at spreading love, peace, and harmony worldwide. He welcomed Sikh pilgrims visiting Pakistan and assured them of all facilities to make their pilgrimage memorable. He recalled that it was Prime Minister Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto who first proposed a visa-free corridor to Kartarpur shrine, a dream realized after three decades. Additionally, he committed to facilitating Buddhist and Jain pilgrims to visit their sacred sites in Pakistan, in line with the country’s constitution that offers equal opportunities to followers of all religions.
