Karachi, A round table conference was held by Ghazali Education Foundation (GEF) in coordination with the Society for Access to Quality Education, urging all political parties to consider education reforms as a paramount element in their manifestos for the upcoming 2024 elections. Representatives from a spectrum of political parties, alongside noted educationists, joined the event to discuss their positions on education and potential initiatives for the future.
According to a news release by the Ghazali Education Foundation, the participating political entities shed light on their visions for education as articulated in their election manifestos. They also shared insights from their past tenures, underlining the successes and challenges faced in the realm of education. A central theme of the conference was the pressing need to bolster the literacy rate in Pakistan.
Syed Amir Jafri, the Executive Director of Ghazali Education Foundation, and Zahra Arshad, the Executive Director of SAQI, both emphasized the significance of ensuring education accessibility for every child in the country. They passionately called upon the participants to leverage their influence within their respective parties to advocate for stronger education policies.
