Islamabad, 12 Oct 2023: In an initiative aimed at segregating pathways for male and female students, a team from International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) scrutinized potential sites for the new pathways across the campus, according to a press release from IIUI. Headed by Vice President Administration and Finance, IIUI Prof. Dr. N.B. Jumani, the team explored suitable points for the pathways, with a parallel focus on their feasibility concerning future construction, as well as the embellishment of these pathways through art, flowering, and other enhancements. This initiative falls in line with the President of IIUI’s student-centric approach towards facilitation, enhancing the navigational experience of students within the campus while respecting gender segregation norms.
The exploration and decision-making team, directed by the President of IIUI, included notable administrative members such as Director Administration, Inam ul Haq, Additional Director P and PR Nasir Farid, and Additional Director Planning and Development, Amir Ishtiaq, alongside other pertinent officers. The group not only identified apt locations for these pathways but also engaged in discussions related to their aesthetic augmentation, reflecting a comprehensive approach towards the infrastructure and overall aesthetic of the campus environment.
Prof. Dr. N.B. Jumani underscored that these steps are consonant with the ongoing initiatives that spotlight the President of IIUI’s student-focused approach. Additionally, the team assessed a dedicated pathway for female students and mandated the creation of separate pathways for male students, enhancing the ease with which they navigate to various campus locations. These initiatives, while logistical in nature, also exhibit a meticulous approach towards ensuring the campus environment is not only functional and navigable but also reflective of institutional values and a commitment to student welfare and convenience.
