یوچینگ، چین، 3 دسمبر 2022ء/ژنہوا-ایشیانیٹ/– یوچینگ، جس کا نام یو دی گریٹ کے نام پر رکھا گیا ہے، جو سیلاب پر قابو پانے میں کامیاب ہوئے، چینی کاشتکاری تہذیب کی جائے پیدائش اور چین کی 100 ہزار سالہ قدیم کاؤنٹیز میں سے ایک ہے۔ تاریخ میں ڈوبا ہوا ، یوچینگ کا چار ہزار سے زیادہ سال پرانا شہر ان گنت مقامی افسانوں اور یو دی گریٹ کے سیلابوں پر قابو پانے کی کہانیوں کا آشیانہ ہے۔2021 میں ، یو دی گریٹ کی لیجنڈ جس نے سیلابوں کو قابو میں رکھا تھا ، کو شیڈونگ صوبے میں غیر معمولی ثقافتی ورثے کے پانچویں بیچ میں شامل کیا گیا تھا۔

چھوٹے سائز کے باوجود، چارکول کی نقاشی ایک تفصیلی پیغام دیتی ہے۔ یہ اعلی معیار کے ناریل کے خول کاربن، معدنی کاربن اور دیگر پاؤڈر ایکٹیویٹڈ کاربن سے بنا ہوا ہے جو ہائی پریشر کی تشکیل، ایکٹیویشن، نقاشی، ڈرائنگ وغیرہ کو چمکانے سے دس سے زائد طریقہ کار کے ذریعے بنا ہے۔ سادہ اور قدرتی رنگوں کے ساتھ ڈیزائن کیا گیا ، چھوٹے سائز کے چارکول نقاشی کے فن پارے زیادہ تر روایتی چینی ثقافتی موضوعات جیسے کنفیوشس ، یو دی گریٹ ،پانچ گائیں، آٹھ گھوڑے، آلو بخارے کے پھول ، باغات ، بانس اور کریسنتھیممز ، اور پیکنگ اوپیرا ماسک پر مبنی ہیں ، تاکہ چینی تہذیب کے 5،000 سالوں کو اجاگر کیا جاسکے۔

OBE, impactful research and rankings in perspective of IIU’s Strategic Plan 2022-2026

Islamabad, December 03, 2022 (PPI-OT):A workshop titled “Outcome-Based Education, Impactful Research and Rankings in the Perspective of IIU’s Strategic Plan 2022-2026” was held here at Quaid e Azam Auditorium, Faisal Masjid Campus, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI).

It was presided over by Worthy President, IIUI Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi as well as it was also attended by the Vice Presidents, Deans DGs, HoD’s, Director QAD, Director ORIC, Director BIC Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, lecturers and other relevant officials.

The activity after the introduction was divided into 4 sessions including: implementation of IIUI strategic plan 2022-26 and departmental/ faculty level organograms, status and way forward, brief presentation on the outcome based education and curriculum revision, address of the worthy president and recognition ceremony in the regard of the high achievers of university.

Speaking on the occasion, IIUI President discussed the importance of the university tragic plan, its characteristics, long term based outcomes and dedicated efforts of the team working on the implementation process of the plan. He said we are heading towards the right direction and there is a dire need to put aside the difference and grudges to win the award of the success of this university. He said the IIUI management believes in transparency and efficacy of talented human resource.

He congratulated the high achievers adding that the university shall keep encouraging the officials who contribute into the success and image building of the university. H.E. Dr. Hathal thanked Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for financial support of the university and add that there is further encouraging news as IDB funded collaboration based developments are also going on.

Earlier, Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, Vice President Research and Enterprise in the session of the introduction of the activity discussed importance and initiatives of OBE and up skilled faculty. He also shed light on rankings and university performance, meaningful research, impactful collaborations and enterprise. He also discussed capacity building, innovation and collaborations in the light strategic plan He also updated about the performance of the grant projects that he mentioned have exceeded the number of 40 in previous 2 years.

Director BIC, Engr. Ahsan Mirza highlighted the importance of 6 priority targets set by university in the light of the strategic plan. He discussed role of SPIC, objectives of the organograms and implementation status of the strategic plan. Dr. Amir discussed the topics of curriculum revision and outcome based education. In the last session high achievers who brought fame to university such as teachers of made their place among top 2% scientists of the standard university list, the faculty members who won projects and grants were awarded with the appreciation certificates by the President IIUI.

FEE Final Year Students’ visit to Tarbela Dam and Power House 

Swabi, December 03, 2022 (PPI-OT):On November 30, 2022, ORIC GIK Institute arranged an industrial visit to Tarbela Dam for the final year students of Faculty of Electrical Engineering (FEE). Faculty members, Dr. Nisar, Dr. Irfan, and Engr. Umar accompanied the students during the visit. The visit provided the students with an opportunity to get an idea of the working of the Hydroelectric power plant and to observe the intricacies behind the entire hydel power generation setup.

MoU Signed between KPCTA and GIKI to jointly work for promotion and development of tourism sector in the province

Swabi, December 03, 2022 (PPI-OT):KPCTA director Khursheed Alam Khattak, and Dr Farooq Sultan, director, office of research, innovation and commercialisation (ORIC), signed the agreement during a ceremony. Under the agreement, both the sides would work to synergise their efforts and pool resources for promotion and development of tourism and hospitality sector in KP as a sustainable avenue of economic growth by means of ecotourism and integrating tourism with technology-based solutions.

The KPCTA will share ideas for developing software prototypes intended to be used in tourism sector; establishing exhibits and stalls in GIK Institute’s events; evaluating projects related to tourism; facilitating students in acquiring publicity data related to tourism; providing industrial support to GIK Institute in obtaining research funding for tourism and including logo of GIK on products and services such as books, websites and Pashto journal as an acknowledgment.

The GIK Institute would support the KPCTA in software development projects related to tourism and hospitality to undergraduate students; disseminate undergraduate project handbooks containing list of projects; share list of students who conducted final-year tourism-related projects, and ensure students’ participation in events and job fairs. The GIK Institute would also nominate KPCTA representatives as technical experts in any funded research project pertaining to tourism.

The 10th Global Waqf Conference has started at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur 

Bahawalpur, December 03, 2022 (PPI-OT):The 10th Global Waqf Conference has started at Islamia University Bahawalpur under the auspices of the Department of Islamic and Conventional Banking, Institute of Business Management and Administrative Sciences. Engineer Professor Dr. Athar Mehboob, Vice Chancellor Islamia University Bahawalpur inaugurated the conference. Apart from Pakistan, 19 delegates from Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Malaysia, Nigeria and UK are participating in the conference. In his address, the Vice-Chancellor appreciated the national and international services of Waqf in the present era.

He said that Islamia University Bahawalpur has developed links with international universities and institutions in recent years. Islamia University Bahawal has been included in the top 800 universities in the world in the recent global ranking by Port Times Higher Education. The holding of the 10th World Waqf Conference in Bahawalpur is a very welcome event where domestic and foreign delegates will discuss Islamic finance governance technology and other social and Our teachers and students will be informed about the latest developments in the economic sector.

The main purpose of Waqf is the welfare and development of the Muslim Ummah. The region of Bahawalpur has a great legacy of Muslim ancestors in the state of Bahawalpur and today teachers and experts from Islamic brotherhood countries have opened new doors for Islamic brotherhood and development. Delegates will discuss the new Islamic financial and finance model and share research and projects with each other that will yield the best results. Professor Dr. Jawad Iqbal, Dean Faculty of Management Sciences appreciated the arrival of domestic and foreign delegates present in the conference and thanked Vice Chancellor Islamia University Bahawalpur for their special patronage.

In the first session, Datuk Dr. Muhammad Ghazali, Muhammad Noor, Malaysia informed about the history of the Global Waqf Conference and the vision for the second decade. Madam Bana Khadija Diallo, Niger informed about the activities of Waqf Institution in Niger Republic. British scholar Prof. Dr. Humayun Dar informed about innovation and development on behalf of waqf in Islamic banking and finance. Pakistani scholar Mufti Naveed Alam spoke on the topic of sustainable economic development.

International Islamic University Malaysia Professor Topwan Noor Asia Muhammad talked about the management issues of Waqf. Dr. Kabir Hassan, a professor at the University of New Orleans, USA, informed about the initiatives of Waqf in human development.
