Pakistan is ready for young leadership and Imran Khan will soon be made to retire from politics and sent home in the upcoming general elections: Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari

Karachi, October 19, 2022 (PPI-OT):Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that Pakistan is ready for young leadership and Imran Khan will soon be made to retire from politics and sent home in the upcoming general elections. Chairman PPP and Foreign Minister visited Malir to offer thanks to the people of the area on the victory of Party candidate Abdul Hakeem Baloch from NA-237 Malir, Karachi defeating PTI’s Imran Khan with over 10,000 votes lead.

In his address to workers at the residence of MNA-elect Hakeem Baloch, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the people of Malir have once again proved that “Bhutto was alive yesterday, and Bhutto is alive today”. He further said that the people of Malir have fought against dictators and pharaohs of all eras and have now given a historic defeat to an incompetent and failed puppet.

“In the 2018 election, the votes of the people of Malir were stolen and the entire country as well as the people of Malir paid the heavy cost for this,” he said adding that Imran Khan is a liar and a hypocrite who thinks that in a short period of three to four months, the people have forgotten that during his tenure, he destroyed the economy of the entire country. “Imran Khan had promised to provide One Crore jobs and build 5 millions of houses, instead, he took away jobs from the youth and roofs from above the heads of poor citizens,” he said. Imran Khan is now trying to get selected once again, but we have trust in the people, who have fought every dictator and would reject him again.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari reminded the public that when he used to call Imran Khan a selected prime minister and a puppet, Khan used to say that his government was on the same page, but now he himself admits that he was selected and remained powerless. “If Imran Khan did not have any power, he should have resigned immediately instead of being stitched to PM post for four years.” He stated that Imran keeps calling everyone a thief, but he’s the biggest thief as Chanda Chor while his government was declared by Transparency International as the most corrupt government in its report. “Imran Khan has been robbing the Shaukat Khanum hospital funds,” said Chairman PPP. “Even his kitchen expenses are also covered by the cancer hospital funds.”

Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Imran Khan’s politics is the politics of spreading hatred and breaking the country, while the politics of Pakistan People’s Party is of love and unity. He said that the time has come for Imran Khan to leave the lives of the people of the country and sit in Bani Gala and have fun. He said that the biggest issue for us is the relief and rehabilitation of the flood victims, but some people want to divert the public’s attention from this most important issue for the sake politics.

The PPP Chairman said that resources are less and problems are more but we will all work together and assured the people of Malir that all possible resources will be used to solve their problems. Addressing the Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, he asked him to ensure that work starts within 90 days to solve all the problems pin-pointed by the newly elected member of the National Assembly Abdul Hakeem Baloch in his speech.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated that measures to save the green belt of Malir, completion of the medical complex, establishment of engineering college and agricultural university campus, addressing concerns regarding cadet college, extension of farmers’ lease and other issues will be worked on.

Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, provincial cabinet, assembly members and other party leaders were also present on this occasion. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s arrival in Malir was also welcomed in a grand manner by the people. People showered rose petals on the PPP Chairman’s caravan during entire route and chanted full-throated slogans to greet him at every spot up to the residence of MNA-elect Hakeem Baloch.

England looking for second Men’s T20 World Cup title

Dubai, October 19, 2022 (PPI-OT):It was a case of what might have been for England 12 months ago in the UAE, and they will be desperate to avoid that feeling this time around at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

The form team throughout the Super 12, losing only their final match to South Africa when a place in the semi-finals was effectively wrapped up, they then faltered against New Zealand.

Since then, it has been all change in England, Chris Silverwood stepped down from his role in charge of both the red-ball and white-ball teams, with Australian Matthew Mott having taken on the latter job.

After overseeing Australia Women’s spell of dominance on the global stage, this will be his chance to do the same for England’s men.

Can he mastermind a second ICC Men’s T20 World Cup success, 12 years after the first?

2022 Prospects

The conditions will be different and some of the personnel has changed but England still have every reason to feel like they can challenge for the title once again.

Drawn with Australia, New Zealand and Afghanistan in their group, they will need to knock off one of the finalists from a year ago to reach the semi-finals.

But there is strength throughout the side, and depth to the point that even Ben Stokes is not guaranteed a spot in the first-choice XI.

If they make it through to the last four, no team will look forward to facing them.

T20 World Cup History

England might have been the first team to play T20 cricket, but they took their time for it to click on the international stage.

They failed to make the semi-finals in each of the first two World Cups, but then it all came together in 2010 in the West Indies.

Despite not winning any of their matches in the opening round, they got through thanks to the weather and then took full advantage.

Kevin Pietersen was at the peak of his powers, while Craig Kieswetter saved his maiden T20 international half-century for the final to lead England past Australia.

Since then, England have come close in each of the last two editions, defeated in dramatic circumstances by Carlos Brathwaite’s stunning flurry of sixes off Stokes in the 2016 final, before the semi-final disappointment 12 months ago.

Current Form

The early returns after the World Cup were disappointing, defeat in the West Indies followed by two home series defeats to India and South Africa after Mott had started his new role.

At that point, it was fair to wonder whether England would be the same threat as a year ago, but since then they have won 4-3 in Pakistan and then 2-0 in Australia to enter the competition brimming with confidence.

They have shown that the team is more than capable of flourishing in Australian conditions, with some blistering batting at the top of the order and a varied bowling attack that can take wickets at regular intervals.

Best Batters

Is there a more destructive batter in the T20 game than Jos Buttler? The England skipper is a devastating striker of the ball at the top of the order and together with his opening partner Alex Hales, they could win a number of matches on their own.

Hales’ return to the side is one of the major changes from 2021, and if one of those two fails, Dawid Malan showed against Australia that he is still more than capable of taking a game away from an opponent. Add in the likes of Harry Brook, Stokes and even Moeen Ali and Sam Curran further down the order, and the England batting line-up is stacked.

Best Bowlers

England have a quartet of fast bowlers who could make an impact in Australia, with Chris Woakes the most recent man to shine with three quick wickets in the abandoned third T20 against Australia.

Sam Curran has been in such great form that he might have made it impossible for Mott to leave him out of the XI, while Adil Rashid’s spin has been a key part of England’s attack for years in this format, in conjunction with Moeen.

PCB reschedules T20I series with West Indies

Lahore, October 19, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Pakistan Cricket Board and Cricket West Indies have agreed to postpone the three-match T20I series, which was due to take place in January 2023 in Pakistan, to the first quarter of 2024.

The decision has been made considering 2024 is an ICC Men’s T20 World Cup year, with the event due to be hosted in the West Indies and USA in June 2024, and the shortest format matches will, therefore, help both the sides to prepare for the tournament.

The three-match T20I series in January 2023 is not part of the recently announced 2023-2027 ICC Future Tours Programme. The West Indies played their ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League matches against Pakistan in Multan in May 2022, while the December 2021 series comprised three T20Is in Karachi.
