اے جی سی نے ایشیا بحر الکاہل خطے میں آرکیٹیکچرل گلاس کی مصنوعات کے لئے اپنا پہلا ماحولیاتی مصنوعات کا اعلامیہ حاصل کرلیا

ای پی ڈی ایک ٹائپ III ماحولیاتی اعلامیہ ہے جو آئی ایس او 14025 معیار کے مطابق ہے اور پائیدار مینجمنٹ پروموشن آرگنائزیشن (ایس یو ایم پی او) کے جاپان ای پی ڈی پروگرام کے ذریعہ تصدیق شدہ ہے۔ ماحولیاتی اعلامیہ حکومت کے تعمیراتی قواعد و ضوابط کی ضروریات کو بھی پورا کرتا ہے ، نیز گرین بلڈنگ اسکیم سرٹیفیکیشن حاصل کرنے کے لئے کمانے والے پوائنٹس میں حصہ ڈالتا ہے ، کیونکہ گرین بلڈنگ ریٹنگ سسٹم (* 3) ای پی ڈی سے تصدیق شدہ مواد استعمال کرنے والے تعمیراتی منصوبوں کے لئے کریڈٹ فراہم کرتا ہے۔

اے جی سی گروپ اس ای پی ڈی کو ایشیا میں تعمیراتی صنعت میں سبز خریداری اور پروکیورمنٹ میں حصہ ڈالنے کے لئے استعمال کرے گا۔ کمپنی اپنی ای پی ڈی کوریج کو اعلی کارکردگی والے شیشے کی مصنوعات ، جیسے کوٹڈ گلاس ، ڈبل گلیزنگ یونٹس اور ایشیائی پودوں میں تیار کردہ آرائشی گلاس تک بھی وسیع کرے گی۔

According to the latest ranking of T.H.E, IUB has improved from 1001-1200 to the position of 801-1000 worldwide

Bahawalpur, October 12, 2022 (PPI-OT):In the 2023 ranking of Times Higher Education, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has achieved the first position in Pakistan in the citations category. Overall, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has secured second position in Punjab and the seventh position among public sector universities in Pakistan.

According to the latest ranking of Times Higher Education the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has improved from 1001-1200 to the position of 801-1000 worldwide. 53 universities across Pakistan including the Islamia University of Bahawalpur have been included in the ranking of global universities for the year 2023 released by Times Higher Education.

The most important achievement is the first position across Pakistan in the citations category. This is a proof of the clear superiority of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur in the field of research. It is worth mentioning that in the last three years, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has been participating in the global ranking.

According to the Times Higher Education ranking of 2023, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur scored 12.1 points in the research category, 37.1 points in industrial income, and 62.9 points in citations and 43.2 points in international outlook. Education circles, teachers and students, have paid tribute to the leadership of Vice Chancellor Engr.

Corps Commander Balochistan, Lieutenant General Asif Ghafoor visits University of Turbat

Turbat, October 12, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Corps Commander Balochistan, Lieutenant General Asif Ghafoor along with the Inspector General (IG) Frontier Corps (FC) South, Major General Kamal Anwar Chaudhry visited the University of Turbat (UoT) on 10th October 2022.

On the arrival at Turbat University, the Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Jan Muhammad, and the Principal of Makran Medical College Dr. Muhammad Afzal welcomed the commander. Corps Commander Balochistan had an interactive session with the students and faculty members of the University of Turbat and Makran Medical College.

Speaking on the occasion, Commander 12 Corps, Lieutenant General Asif Ghafoor said that youth is an invaluable asset of the country. He urged the students to play a positive role in national unity and its development as they were the future leaders of our country.

Moreover, he underscored the fact that the educated youth played an important role in the progress of the country, and the youth of Balochistan, especially the youth of Makran Division, was very talented and hardworking and they must spend their energy on the acquisition of education and that the Youth should take advantage of the opportunities available for their education.

On a sanguine note, he highlighted some of the major developmental milestones that the country has achieved. Both the federal and provincial governments have done a lot of work for the people.

Commander 12 Corps emphasized that the role of the students was to strengthen and brighten the future of our great nation by focusing on education which leads to success. On the occasion, students freely discussed their education, the problems of Balochistan, the security situation, and their grievances.

Furthermore, Corps Commander Lt. Gen. Asif Ghafoor assured the students that all possible support will be provided in the construction and development of the university and medical college. The event was emceed by Dr. Shah Mir Baloch, Director of Student Affairs UoT. At the end of the session, the vice chancellor presented commemorative souvenirs to the Corps Commander and IGFC (South).

Dear Graduating Student,

The Forman Christian College (A Chartered University) Commencement ceremony registration for Post-graduate and Baccalaureate Students is open. To attend the ceremony please check your emails (if not received check junk/spam folder) and complete the registration process.

Once the form is completed, you will be sent a confirmation email that you have registered for the Commencement ceremony. Kindly go through the important instructions written in email.

Deadline to register for the Commencement ceremony is Saturday, November 05, 2022, 11:55 P.M.

NOTE: Please note you will not be allowed to change any guest information after the deadline.

Only registered graduates will be allowed to attend commencement ceremony and only their personalized graduation slide will be displayed.

Graduates must attend rehearsal to participate in the Commencement Ceremony.

Due to security reasons, participants are not permitted to bring any weapons, digital diaries, electronic equipment, brief cases or boxes to the Commencement ceremony.

Guest Information:

Only registered guest(s) are allowed.

Every registered graduate is allowed to bring two guests gratis (free), provided their details are entered in registration form.

If you are bringing more than two guests, then for every extra guest you have to submit Rs. 2,000/- in FC College branch of Habib Bank following the same process mentioned above.

Guest(s) must come with graduates and carry their original CNIC/B-Form/Passport and guest pass.

No change in guests will be made after Commencement registration deadline.

Rehearsal:

Rehearsal for commencement will be on Friday, 25th November 2022, 3:00 P.M in the Sinclair Hall, and is mandatory to attend for collecting your commencement registration and guest card.

Academic Gowns:

The fee for the gown is Rs 3,000/-. You will get Rs 2,500/- when you return the gown. Do not deposit the fee in Bank. You will pay the vendor directly, in cash. You may collect the gowns from in front of Sinclair Hall. The gowns will be available from:

November 21st – 24th (3pm – 6pm)

November 25th (3pm – 7pm)

November 26th (2pm till one hour after the ceremony)

Commencement:

Saturday, 26th November 2022, 3:00 P.M., FCCU Main Ground.

Graduates and guest(s) must arrive early for security clearances and be seated by 2:30 P.M. After 3:00 P.M entry may be halted in the venue (FCCU Main Ground).

Prof Dr Yasar Ayaz to be honoured with PEC Excellence Award

Islamabad, October 12, 2022 (PPI-OT):We are proud to share that Prof. Dr. Yasar Ayaz, Chairman National Center of Artificial Intelligence and Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics at NUST, is being awarded the PEC Excellence Award by Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), in recognition of his ‘extraordinary contribution and services to the engineering profession.’

Recipient of the Pride of Performance Award in 2021, Dr Yasar Ayaz is the Founding Head of the Department of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence at NUST. He is the P.I. of the Robotics and Intelligent Systems Engineering (R.I.S.E.) Lab of NUST. He has authored over 130 international publications and has 3 product design patents registered, with several more in the review process.

The Conferment of the PEC Excellence Award has been scheduled by the President of Pakistan at Aiwan-e-Sadar on October 18, 2022. NUST congratulates Dr Yasar Ayaz for another well-deserved honour.

Scientific and Higher Education Attache from Embassy of France Dr Sabine Vermillard visits UVAS

Lahore, October 12, 2022 (PPI-OT):Dr Sabine Vermillard who is the Scientific and Higher Education Attache from Embassy of France visited the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore called on Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad here on Wednesday.

Meanwhile Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad chaired the meeting while a number of UVAS Senior faculty members were present in the meeting. Dr Sabine Vermillard sought possible opportunities of collaboration in the areas of education and research, climate change, students and faculty exchange programme for the learning of innovative knowledge, capacity building for products development as well as for the promotion of academic cooperation with UVAS to make long term relationship.

Earlier, Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad briefed the delegation on UVAS academic and research activities, national and international collaborations and history of university, various degree programmes, research, training and services of UVAS through video documentary.

He spoke about UVAS initiatives taken for the betterment of flood victims in Taunsa Sharif, Rajanpur, Fazilpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Layyah, Charsadda, Rojhan, Khairpur and Lasbela. He also mentioned UVAS initiatives taken in the odd circumstances of corona pandemic, earthquakes and flood related natural disasters. He said UVAS working actively for the profitability of poor livestock farming community in the rural areas.

He also said that UVAS has strong linkages with French Alliance Francaise (AF) of Lahore for learning of French language courses and scientific information about French Universities for higher education studies for UVAS students. Dr Sabine Vermillard also interacted with students who are learning French language courses in UVAS and want to seek admissions in French universities. She also visited Pet center, UVAS and saw the ongoing activities there.
