Independence Long March is to strengthen democracy, economy and country: Ch Parvez Elahi

Lahore, May 24, 2022 (PPI-OT):Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Parvez Elahi has said that Independence Long March is for strengthening democracy, economy and country. Imran Khan’s statement that the country is being run from outside, we were with Imran Khan and Insha-Allah will remain with Imran Khan. The Army has always stood by Pakistan, in every calamity, earthquake and calamity and in protecting the borders of the country. Despite the criticism, they are doing their job. We pay tribute to them and stand by them.

He said that Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif started every evil deed, those who recite Allama Iqbal’s poems in their speeches, they raided the house of Justice Nasira Iqbal. Rana Sanaullah and the current IG are all the ones who carried out the massacre in Model Town. The screams of a pregnant woman have reached the seventh sky. He was addressing to the media at his residence here. In response to a question, he said that Asif Ali Zardari is the best politician, we have personal relations with him.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that as custodian of the house, it is my duty to protect the fundamental rights of the members of the Punjab Assembly. MPAs whose homes are being raided by the police make videos which will be presented in the Assembly and in the courts as sabotage of violation of fundamental rights, MPA Rashida Khanum was taken into custody from Model Town.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that the characters involved in the Model Town massacre have become active once again, their hands are already stained with blood and they want bloodshed again. He said that no matter how hard the Sharif family, PML-N and Gullu Butt try, the independence march would not stop now. The desecration of the veil and the walls by the fake rulers is less to be condemned, but the brutal suppression of peaceful protests proves the incompetence of Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that Chief Secretary and Punjab administration should not harass workers with arrests. Public sentiments cannot be restrained with the closure of transport and routes in all the districts of Punjab, the workers will reach Islamabad in any case.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that the government has become disillusioned with the popularity of Imran Khan, all stakeholders have come to know that this fake company is not going to run, Hamza Shahbaz’s government has ended constitutionally, his orders are illegal. The police and the administration should not become the tools of this fake government.

He said that general elections are the only way to resolve the current crisis at the federal level and this is the main demand of Imran Khan and the purpose of his long march towards Islamabad. Imran Khan has said that they are coming to Islamabad for peaceful protest which is their basic right. He said that at the behest of Shahbaz Sharif, Punjab police is violating the sanctity of people’s homes and entering the houses of peaceful citizens at night.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that Police broke the gate of Allama Iqbal’s daughter-in-law Justice Nasira Javed Iqbal’s house in Gulberg and harassed her family. Justice Nasira Javed Iqbal has been a respected judge of Lahore High Court and is not even in politics. The whole nation is saddened by the raid on Allama Iqbal’s house and misbehave with his family.

Earlier, Ch Parvez Elahi strongly condemned the raids on the homes of PTI leaders and workers and police terrorism to stop the Independence Long March. Ch Parvez Elahi telephoned former federal ministers Hamad Azhar, PTI Punjab president Shafqat Mehmood, former provincial ministers Raja Basharat, Dr Yasmin Rashid, Mian Mahmood Rasheed, Senator Ijaz Chaudhry Sadia Sohail Rana MPA and police terrorized their homes. He termed terrorism as the confusion of the fake rulers.
