Former President Asif Ali Zardari felicitates Muslims on Eid-ul-Fitr 

Karachi, May 02, 2022 (PPI-OT):Former President of Pakistan and President Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians, Asif Ali Zardari congratulated all Muslim brothers, sisters and elders on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

In his message, the former President said that we should be wary of those elements that are poisoning the society with intolerance for their personal interests. Our religion teaches us patience, tolerance and forgiveness. This is what our Holy Prophet (PBUH) has taught us. Asif Ali Zardari said that today, special prayers should be offered for the liberation of the brothers of Occupied Kashmir.

The President PPPP said that Pakistan People’s Party is striving to give the nation a society where there is political, social and economic justice. We are resisting all kinds of terrorism and extremism so that there is peace in the society because social justice is guaranteed only in peace. Asif Ali Zardari said that special prayers should be offered on the occasion of happiness for the reward of those martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for the protection of our homeland and were martyred fighting terrorism.

Pledge to work for national progress and prosperity with new determination and spirit: Ch Shujat Hussain, Parvez Elahi, Moonis Elahi 

Lahore, May 02, 2022 (PPI-OT):Pakistan Muslim President (PML) President and former Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujat Hussain, Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and former Federal Minister Moonis Elahi while felicitating the entire Pakistani nation and Muslim Ummah on Eid-ul-Fitr have said that on this auspicious occasion pledge to work for national progress and prosperity with new determination, spirit and tumult so that not only in the country people belonging to all segments and fields have equal opportunities for prosperity, justice and progress but also avail respectable status among the comity of nations.

PML leaders said that on the occasion of Eid, widows, orphans and martyrs of the Pak army should also be remembered. Today, we should also take care of those brothers who are unable to celebrate Eid. Embrace them to the joy, we have to take care of those who are waiting for our help. This is the work of reward and the betterment of all lies in it.

They said that those who sacrificed their lives for the attainment of this homeland and its protection and defense, we should also share in the happiness of the families of those who have attained the great goal of martyrdom. They said that in spite of all the tactics of external and internal enemies, they are celebrating Eid today in a free and independent country according to our will and desire. Due to the great grace of Allah Almighty and those who have made sacrifices for the motherland, we have this free homeland today.

They further said that today the whole nation as a whole should pray sincerely to Allah Almighty and pledge that we will work with good intentions and determination to build our God-gifted Pakistan, in accordance with the thoughts and wishes of the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal.

Ch. Parvez Elahi and Moonis Elahi strongly condemn for implicating Imran Khan in the incident of Masjid Nabawi (SAWW) and filing a case against him 

Lahore, May 02, 2022 (PPI-OT):Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and former Federal Minister Moonis Elahi have condemned in the strongest terms the filing of FIR against PTI Chairman Imran Khan and said that filing of FIR by the Fascist government against Imran Khan is very obnoxious. Sharif brothers did not learn a lesson from history nor did they stop their actions.

Ch. Parvez Elahi said that what did Imran Khan have to do with the incident that took place in Masjid-e-Nabawi (SAWW)? The whole nation knows that on the night of this tragic incident which took place in Masjid-e-Nabawi (SAWW), Imran Khan and his workers were engaged in Shab-e-Dua. The registration of cases against Imran Khan and his associates under the guise of this incident by the imported government is reprehensible.

He further said that the whole Muslim world is paying homage to the resolution passed by Imran Khan against Islamophobia in the United Nations. Al-Jazeera, the most reputable channel in the Arab world, has named Imran Khan as the most beloved person in the Muslim world for his services to the protection of Namoos-e-Risalat (SAWW).

Former Federal Minister Moonis Elahi said that the politics of revenge has been made by the Sharif brothers as their way of life. He said that Imran Khan had made it clear that he could not even imagine giving such instructions.

Moonis Elahi said that Imran Khan is a true Ashiq-e-Rasool (SAWW). Trying to implicate Imran Khan in the incident that took place in Masjid-e-Nabawi (SAWW) is a proof of the insanity of Shahbaz Sharif and his imported government.

Moonis Elahi further said that Imran Khan has emerged as a global voice for Khatam-e-Nubawwat (SAWW). For the first time, a Muslim ruler demanded from the Western governments that the perpetrators of blasphemy should be punished.

U19 City Cricket Association tournament schedule announced 

Lahore, May 02, 2022 (PPI-OT):Ninety-three sides will be in action across the country in the U19 City Cricket Association Tournament 2022-23 from 21 May to 4 June. The 50-over tournament has been designed to provide young players with an opportunity to not only impress the selectors for the upcoming PCB U19 three-day and one-day tournaments, but it will provide them a chance to feature in the inaugural Pakistan Junior League which is all set to take place in Lahore from 1 to 15 October.

According to the event format, each City Cricket Association, depending on the number of cities in that association, will be split into groups with each Cricket Association to ultimately have a champion.

Balochistan comprise 13 City Cricket Associations, Central Punjab 16, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 19, Northern 11, Sindh 17 and Southern Punjab 14. However, and as per past practice, the three Lahore Zones will have two sides each, which takes the grand total of sides participating in the tournament to 93. Balochistan, Northern and Southern Punjab CCAs have been split into three groups each. The three table toppers will compete in a triangular series and the side with most points will be adjudged winner.

Teams in Central Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh will be divided into four groups each. Each Cricket Associations’ group leaders will play knockout rounds to determine a champion side. The tournament will be covered digitally and with the live scores available on CricHQ. The squads of all the 93 sides will be announced in due course.
