Lahore, April 09, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Department of Career Services and Corporate Linkages (CSCL), under the supervision of Dr. Maryam Iqbal Kiani recently conducted a “Mega Recruitment Drive” at UOL, Defence Road Campus. The mega event, aimed at creating a bridge between UOL’s bright students and prestigious firms. In this event, job-seekers had an excellent opportunity to network with prominent employers seeking to fill their open positions.
More than 500 students attended this mega event while as many as 16 plus notable companies including Daewoo, Healthwire, Fauji Foods, Softbeats, Kale Tiles, Finz Games, BrainX Technologies, Enablers, Wateen, Nedes, NBP, Saw Developers, DS Group of Company, Franklin Covey, Mizo Studio and ERP set up their booths at the event to recruit UOL students and graduates for internship and permanent placement opportunities.
Professor Dr. Muhammad Ashraf (Rector, UOL) inaugurated the drive and visited all stalls along with Dr. Kiani. After refreshment, walk-in interviews of the students were conducted in three different sessions.
While sharing his thoughts on the event, Dr. Ashraf said that the students majorly face unemployment problem after graduation, but such recruitment drives provide them the best platform for jobs. On the occasion, Dr. Kiani said, “We provide our students an opportunity of diverse grounds from where they can identify their luck”.
On the other hand, the corporate representatives appreciated the initiative taken by the UOL in bringing job opportunities closer to the students. They also pledged to collaborate with the UOL in future for the betterment of the students.
