Delhi: India's commanding performances against Afghanistan in the ongoing T20I series have resulted in notable advancements for their players in the latest ICC Men's T20I Player Rankings. The team, currently leading the series 2-0, has seen significant contributions from several key players.

According to International Cricket Council, Abhishek Sharma's explosive innings of 82 in the opening match propelled him to second place on the T20I batter rankings, surpassing Pakistan's Sahibzada Farhan. He now trails only teammate Ishan Kishan, who holds the top spot. Sanju Samson also climbed four positions to reach 30th after a strong half-century in the second game.

In the T20I Bowler Rankings, several Indian players made notable progress. Varun Chakaravarthy moved up to fifth, Jasprit Bumrah to 10th, Arshdeep Singh to 14th, and Axar Patel to 27th, reflecting their performances in the first two matches against Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, Afghanistan's Azmatullah Omarzai made gains in the T20I all-rounder rankings, thanks to his unbeaten half-century in the series opener.

Elsewhere, Australian players also saw improvements following their victory over Zimbabwe. Nathan Ellis's five-wicket haul elevated him to 20th on the ODI bowler rankings, while Matthew Renshaw's innings of 109 saw him leap to 68th among ODI batters. Cooper Connolly moved up to 77th after contributing 51 runs.

In the Test format, England's Ollie Robinson achieved a career-high ranking, moving to third among Test bowlers after a successful series against Pakistan. Teammate Josh Tongue also reached a personal best, rising to 11th. Pakistan's Babar Azam and Shan Masood, as well as England's Jamie Smith, made strides in the Test batter rankings.
