Lahore: The Rotaract Club recently hosted the second Peer Circle Session of its Peer Mentorship Program, "The Bridge," under the theme "You Didn't Fail - The System Did: Reclaiming Life After MDCAT." The session was designed to provide a supportive environment for students to discuss their experiences and concerns related to the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT).
During the session, students were encouraged to share their personal stories in a safe setting, fostering a sense of community among participants. The initiative aimed to address the pressures and challenges faced by students undergoing the MDCAT process.
Dr. Hammad, Pro-Rector of the University of Central Punjab, delivered a keynote address, urging students to redefine success beyond the outcomes of standardized tests. He emphasized the importance of resilience and encouraged participants to explore diverse pathways to achieve their goals.
The Peer Mentorship Program, "The Bridge," seeks to empower students by providing guidance and support throughout their academic journey. The second session's focus on life after MDCAT reflects a broader commitment to student well-being and development.
The event underscored the need for educational institutions to create platforms where students can openly express their concerns and find encouragement. By shifting the narrative from individual accountability to systemic responsibility, the session aimed to inspire students to pursue their ambitions with renewed confidence.
