UVAS Emphasizes French Language Benefits for Pakistani Students

Lahore: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore hosted a seminar on Thursday at its City Campus to underscore the benefits of learning French for Pakistani students. The event, organized by the Department of Parasitology in collaboration with the French Centre Lahore, aimed to highlight the global significance of the French language and its advantages for students in international contexts.

According to University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mr. Fabrice Disdier, Director of the French Institute Lahore, addressed both undergraduate and postgraduate students at UVAS, articulating the importance of French as a major global language. He noted that French is the second most frequently learned language in Europe and a critical language for many international organizations, including the United Nations and UNESCO.

The seminar also covered the specific benefits of French proficiency in veterinary sciences, potential for personal growth, and practical aspects of language acquisition such as vocabulary and pronunciation. The event was attended by prominent faculty members, including Prof. Dr. Kamran Ashraf and Prof. Dr. Imran Rashid, who emphasized the educational and professional opportunities that proficiency in French can offer.
