UVAS Celebrates the Conclusion of Its 11th Spring Festival

Lahore, The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore has successfully concluded its 11th annual Spring Festival, culminating in a vibrant fun fair and an awards ceremony recognizing the achievements of participating departments.

According to University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, the weeklong festival was a showcase of talent and creativity, featuring competitions across various disciplines. The Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (IPS) clinched the overall first position, followed by the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and the Institute of Biochemistry and Biotechnology (IBBT) securing the second and third positions, respectively.

The festival’s rich array of events included drama, quiz, naat-qiraat, azaan, poster/model exhibition, floral decoration, music, photography, videography, short film, bait bazi, Urdu and English poetry, standup comedy, scouts contest, and a fun fair, drawing enthusiastic participation from students across departments.

UVAS Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dr. Muhammad Younus, presided over the closing ceremony, distributing trophies to the winners and commending the students’ dynamic engagement in the festival. He highlighted the importance of such extracurricular activities in fostering character building and social training among students, emphasizing their role in holistic educational development.

The festival not only celebrated student achievements but also fostered a sense of community and camaraderie within the university, reinforcing UVAS’s commitment to comprehensive education and student welfare.
