Urban residents are more likely to visit health facilities as compared to rural areas, showing health access issues: Gallup and Gilani Pakistan

Islamabad, January 26, 2022 (PPI-OT):According to a survey conducted by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, urban residents are more likely to visit health facilities as compared to rural areas, showing health access issues: Gallup and Gilani Pakistan.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the four provinces was asked the following question, “May God bless everyone with health and wellness. Sometimes in case of sickness, you need to go to a doctor for consultation. Please tell us when did you last see a doctor or how many months have passed since you were examined by a doctor?” In response to this question, 22% said 1 month, 11% said 2 months, 11% said 5-6 months, 3% said 7-12 months, 1% said more than 12 months. 35% of the respondents said they didn’t remember and 11% of respondents did not give an answer.
