Turbat, The Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Turbat organized two separate industrial visits to Karachi for senior students from the departments of Economics, Management Sciences, and Commerce. The visits, which took place from November 15 to 22, 2023, aimed to provide practical exposure to the students in the fields of business and finance.
According to University of Turbat, During their time in Karachi, the students visited several prestigious institutions, including the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP), the State Bank of Pakistan, the Pakistan Stock Exchange, Atlas Honda Limited, and Star Denim Private Ltd. Supervised by faculty members like Mr. Bebgar Ghichki, Mr. Asif Ali, Ms. Zahida Mehrab, Mr. Chakar Faiz, Ms. Mahjabeen Faqir, and Mr. Munir Ahmed, these visits offered students invaluable insights into the workings of significant economic institutions.
Dr. Waseem Barkat, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics, expressed his gratitude to Prof. Dr. Jan Muhammad, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Turbat, for supporting such educational initiatives. He also thanked the chairmen of the Department of Management Sciences and Commerce, Mr. Badal Khan and Dr. Mushtaq Muhammad, as well as faculty members Dr. Ghulam Jan, Mr. Rematullah, and Mr. Siraj Ahmed for their efforts in making these visits a success.
