University of Turbat Scholar Speaks at 42nd Congress of Zoology in Muzaffarabad

Turbat, In a significant gathering of zoologists and life sciences experts, Dr. Niamatullah Kakar from the University of Turbat presented his research at the 42nd Congress of Zoology, held at the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir in Muzaffarabad. The event, spanning from April 23 to 25, 2024, was a collaborative effort with the Zoological Society of Pakistan aimed at fostering scientific collaboration and knowledge exchange.

According to University of Turbat, the conference drew participation from China, Turkey, and Pakistan. Dr. Kakar, an assistant professor in the Department of Natural and Basic Sciences, delivered a talk on “Transmission of Streptococcus pneumoniae: Nasopharyngeal carriage in children in urban and peri-urban regions of Quetta, Pakistan.” His findings contributed significantly to the genetic study of microorganisms and sparked active discussions during the subsequent question and answer session.
