University of the Punjab to Examine Ph.D. Study on Immunization Defaulters and COVID-19 Impact in Swat

Lahore, The Institute of Social & Cultural Studies at the University of the Punjab is set to hold a public defense for Mr. Kifayat Ullah’s Ph.D. research on April 23, 2024. His study delves into the reasons for childhood defaulters in the Expanded Program on Immunization and the impact of COVID-19 on routine vaccination in Swat, Pakistan.

According to University of the Punjab, Mr. Ullah’s dissertation titled “Reasons for Childhood Defaulters in Expanded Program on Immunization and Effect of COVID-19 on Uptake of Routine Vaccination in Swat, Pakistan” will be presented for defense at noon in the Committee Room of the Institute. The session is open for attendance by interested faculty members, as well as M.Phil and Ph.D. scholars from the university.

The study by Mr. Ullah is particularly timely and relevant, given the global concern over vaccination rates amidst the ongoing challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
