Lahore, The Institute of Social and Cultural Studies at the University of the Punjab has announced the public defense and viva voce examination of Ms. Abida Tehreem, a PhD scholar in the discipline of Public Health. The focus of the defense is a pertinent health issue in the Punjab region – the premarital screening of Thalassemia.
According to University of The Punjab, the defense is scheduled to occur on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. The session will be held in the Committee Room of the Institute of Social and Cultural Studies (ISCS). Ms. Tehreem’s dissertation, “Premarital Screening of Thalassemia in Punjab: Challenges and Prospects,” addresses a critical public health challenge and explores potential avenues for future developments in the region.
