Jamshoro, The University of Sindh recently held a condolence reference in honor of its late security officer, Kashif Ali Narejo, where the Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, and colleagues paid tribute to his unparalleled service and commitment. The event took place at the Senate Hall of the Vice Chancellor Secretariat of the University of Sindh in Jamshoro.
According to University of Sindh, the speakers at the condolence reference, including the Vice-Chancellor Dr. Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro, Registrar Dr. Mushtaq Ali Jariko, and others, commemorated Kashif Ali Narejo for his dedicated service and his ability to solve students’ problems through peaceful dialogue. They recognized his hard work and his skillful handling of challenging situations, especially in maintaining law and order on campus.
Dr. Kalhoro spoke highly of Narejo’s work ethics and dedication, recalling his honesty and diligence as a security officer. He emphasized that Narejo’s passing was not only a loss to his family but also to the university community he cared for deeply. Narejo was remembered as one of the best officers the university had seen over the years, leaving a void that cannot be filled.
Kashif’s father, Muhammad Nawaz Narejo, a former Pro Vice-Chancellor of the university, expressed his pride in his son’s achievements and the recognition he received from the university’s senior officials and colleagues. He shared the profound impact of his son’s passing on the family and suggested naming a university checkpoint after Kashif, who suffered a heart attack while on duty.
Other speakers, including Dr. Irfana Begum Malah and Dr. Khalilur Rehman Khombati, highlighted Kashif’s role in maintaining peace and security within the campus. They described him as a visionary and brave officer, whose contributions had a significant impact on the university.
The condolence reference was attended by a large number of officers, teachers, and employees of the university. The event concluded with a collective prayer led by Professor Dr. Hafiz Munir Ahmad Khan for the deceased.
