TNFJ Leader Calls for Immediate Action to Address Violence in Parachinar

Islamabad: The leader of Tehreek Nifaz Fiqah Jafaria (TNFJ), Allama Agha Syed Hussain Muqaddasi, expressed significant concern over recent violent incidents in Parachinar, calling for urgent governmental intervention to restore peace in the region. In a meeting held Friday, he underscored the dire need for effective security measures to safeguard the upcoming mourning rituals of Muharram.

According to Tehreek Nafaze Fiqhe Jafariya, during an emergency session of the Muharram Committee, Allama Muqaddasi highlighted the distressing conditions in Parachinar, where ongoing violence and shootings have resulted in numerous casualties and injuries despite the presence of security forces. He criticized the government’s lack of response to what he described as an “extremely worrying situation” and demanded immediate action to stabilize the area, crucial for the safe observance of Muharram ceremonies.

The TNFJ leader stressed the importance of securing Pakistan’s borders to prevent the infiltration of terrorists, whom he accused of disrupting the sanctity of Muharram to satisfy external agendas. He advocated for the strict implementation of the National Action Plan and suggested that the “Moosavi peace formula” could serve as a foundation for lasting peace in the Kurram region, where Parachinar is located.
