Bahawalpur, November 19, 2022 (PPI-OT):The academic and literary activities of the Department of Iqbal at, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur are commendable. This department is playing a prominent role among Pakistani universities in promoting Iqbal thought.

These views were expressed by Professor Dr. Basira Abnerin, Director of Iqbal Akademi Pakistan Lahore in the meeting of the Board of Studies. While appreciating the performance of the department, he praised and congratulated the department for the ten-day self-celebration celebrations. He described all the initiatives taken by the Department of Iqbaliyat as commendable.

He further said that for the promotion of Iqbaliyat, she will continue her academic and literary cooperation with the department. According to the details, the meeting of the Board of Studies of the Iqbaliyat Department, The Islamia University, Bahawalpur, was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Muhammad Rafiq ul Islam, Chairman of the Department.

Bahawalpur, November 18, 2022 (PPI-OT):Director Rahim Yar Khan Campus Islamia University Bahawalpur Umeer Ashraf told about the ongoing bus service in the campus that 11 buses provide travel facilities to male and female students. Are doing Bus services are being operated within a radius of 150 km. 3 buses from Khanpur tehsil bring the students to the campus in the morning and 3 buses in the afternoon and 2 buses in the evening so that the students can reach their homes with a safe and comfortable journey.

Bahawalpur, November 18, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Islamia University of Bahawalpur has become the first university in the country where energy from different sources will be integrated and used efficiently under an integrated smart power management system. In this regard, Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob formally inaugurated the Integrated Smart Power Management System.

Through this system, under the latest monitoring system, the energy obtained from different sources will be used effectively with the help of the data obtained from the computerized system and the wastage of energy can be prevented.

He said that in our institutions, energy consumption statistics are usually collected through manual sources which are not reliable, which cannot collect the data of electricity wastage and proper use of energy resources at the national level.

The Islamia University of Bahawalpur is already generating 3 MW electricity from solar power plant. On this occasion, Engr. Faizan-ul-Hasan Faiz, in-charge solar plant, while giving a briefing, said that through this system, modern methods of energy use in the university. Monitoring will be done and under- or over-consumption of power will be determined automatically through a special control system.

The Islamia University Bahawalpur will be able to save large amounts of energy costs by implementing this system. On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor appreciated the efficiency and diligence of the dynamic team of the Solar Power Plant.

Bahawalpur, November 18, 2022 (PPI-OT):Quality Enhancement Cell, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur organized an orientation session on Internal Quality Assurance Mechanism. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Asadullah Madani, Director Quality Enhancement Cell presented an overview of the vision of Higher Education Commission of Quality Enhancement Cell.

He also informed about the objectives of Self-Assessment exercise at the program level. Rao Mazhar Hussain, Additional Director Quality Enhancement Cell described the eight criteria and thirty-one related criteria for Self-Assessment exercise and a comprehensive method for filling required information in self-assessment report. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Asadullah Madani also discussed the latest rankings and achievements of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur.

Prof. Dr. Qazi Masroor Ali, former head, the Department of Medicine, Quaid-i-Azam Medical College, Bahawalpur, gave a special lecture on the topic of conscious patients, are we ready for them, while Prof. Dr. Rubina Bhatti, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences thanked the participants. Prof. Dr. Javed Hassan Chandio, Dean Faculty of Arts and Languages ​​was the chief guest. Muhammad Hanif Pirzada and Muhammad Yusuf Faheem, students belonging to Quran and Naat Society, received the blessing of reciting the Holy Quran and Iqbal’s Naatiya Kalam.
