Swift Action: IIUI President Personally Resolves Pending Student Cases

Islamabad: President of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), Professor Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed, made an unannounced visit to the Student Facilitation Center in a bid to directly tackle student grievances and hasten the resolution of outstanding academic and scholarship issues. This move underscores the administration’s dedication to prioritizing student welfare and ensuring prompt attention to their needs.

During his visit, Prof. Dr. Alahmed escorted a student to the Academic Section after discovering her request had been pending for a considerable duration. His direct involvement led to an immediate resolution, demonstrating the institution’s commitment to reducing bureaucratic delays.

The President also conferred with Director Academics, Syed Naveed Ehtasham, to evaluate current procedures and discuss strategies for guaranteeing swift responses in academic services. In addition, he inspected the Female Academic Section, instructing staff to handle student concerns with urgency and clarity. His visit extended to the office of Director University Financial Aid, Ms. Nuzhat Zareen, where he played a role in addressing a scholarship-related issue.

Prof. Dr. Alahmed emphasized that active leadership and clear communication between the administration and students are crucial for enhancing service quality and the overall student experience. Through direct engagement with students and department heads, he communicated a firm stance against unnecessary delays and highlighted his dedication to refining processes.

Among the measures deliberated upon were stricter follow-up routines, defined timelines for case resolution, and increased accountability for staff managing student requests.

“Our students’ welfare and academic progress are non-negotiable priorities,” stated Professor Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed. “When a student faces a delay, we must act immediately,” he asserted. He further remarked that the visit was focused on listening, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring that the systems are designed to support students effectively.
