Rawalakot, Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan has been promoted to grade 20 and officially assumed the role of Director of Planning and Development at Jamia Poonch, University of Poonch Rawalakot. His new role comes as part of a broader effort to expedite development projects at the university which have previously faced significant delays.
According to University of Poonch Rawalakot, Khan, who previously served as the Treasurer of the university for about six years, has embraced his new responsibilities with a commitment to live up to the trust placed in him by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zakaria Zakir. During his tenure as treasurer, Khan was recognized for his transparent handling of the university’s financial affairs. His promotion is part of a strategic move to reinvigorate the university’s development projects, which are said to be worth billions of rupees.
On assuming his new role, Khan expressed his readiness to tackle the challenges ahead and pledged to work diligently to complete the ongoing projects. Meanwhile, Vice Chancellor Zakir has congratulated Khan and another university official, Adnan Javed, on their new roles, emphasizing the urgent need for dedicated work to recover lost time on construction and development projects at the university.
