Lahore, Punjab University is set to welcome His Excellency Mr. Albert P. Khorev, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation, and Mr. Ruslan M. Prokhorov, Head of the Russian House in Pakistan, on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. The visit will include the inauguration of newly upgraded classrooms at the university’s Institute of Languages and Linguistics, funded by the Russian government.
According to University of The Punjab, the delegation will arrive at the New Campus at noon, where the Ambassador will meet with the Vice Chancellor before proceeding to the inauguration ceremony. This enhancement of the university’s facilities is aimed at bolstering the Russian language program, reflecting the strengthening academic and cultural ties between Pakistan and Russia.
The event underscores the ongoing cooperation in education between the two countries and is expected to enrich the learning environment for students pursuing Russian studies at Punjab University.
