Rawalpindi Hosts Annual Mourning Majlis and Coffin Procession


Rawalpindi, The annual two-day Majlis, commemorating a tradition established by Bawa Syed Karam Hussain Shah Kazmi, is set to take place at Darbar Alia Sakhi Shah Pyara Chauhar Harpal, Rawalpindi. Scheduled for the 24th and 25th of Rajab at 10 am, the event, organized by Bawa Syed Qasim Ali Shah, Bawa Syed Farzand Ali Shah, Syed Nazar Ali Shah, Syed Ghulam Ali Shah, and Syed Zuheer Shah, will feature prominent religious scholars and speakers.



According to Tehreek Nafaze Fiqhe Jafariya, the Majlis will host distinguished speakers including Allama Agha Syed Hussain Makdisi, Allama Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi, and Zakir Waqar Haider Shirazi among others. The event promises to be a profound gathering, offering reflections and commemorations on the significance of the days in the Islamic calendar.



On the second day, the 25th of Rajab, a special coffin procession for Imran Hussain Naqvi and Bawa Anwar Hussain Kazmi will commence at 8 am. The procession will feature various mourning bands, adding a solemn and communal aspect to the observance. This annual event is a significant occasion for the local community, providing a space for collective mourning and remembrance.
