Punjab University Conducts Nationwide Entry Tests for Undergraduate Programs

Lahore, Punjab University held its annual entry tests for undergraduate admissions on Sunday, with venues set up across 18 major cities to accommodate over 40,000 registered students.

According to University of the Punjab, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood and Chairman of the Test Committee Prof. Dr. Mumtaz Anwar Chaudhry oversaw the examination process. Dr. Mahmood highlighted the expansive scope of this year’s testing, which took place in cities including Karachi, Quetta, Peshawar, Gilgit, Skardu, and Dera Ismail Khan, among others. In total, 130 examination centers were utilized nationwide, with 86 specifically in Lahore.

This year’s tests were notably diverse, covering seven different types of entry exams for various undergraduate programs. The university has allocated 25 percent of the admission marks to these entry tests. Additional support for test-takers included guidance camps at both the New Campus and Old Campus, along with a shuttle bus service for students and facilities for their parents.

The results of these entry tests are scheduled to be announced on June 26, 2024, setting the stage for the next academic cycle at Punjab University.
