Islamabad, President Asif Ali Zardari made a visit to the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Islamabad today to express condolences on the recent terrorist attack in Bisham, which resulted in the death of Chinese citizens. The President, representing the government and people of Pakistan, strongly condemned the attack and affirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with China during this distressing time. His visit underscores the deep ties between Pakistan and China, highlighting a shared resolve against terrorism.
According to Pakistan Peoples Party, President Zardari was received by Mr. Jiang Zaidong, the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, and was accompanied by the Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the visit, President Zardari condemned the terrorist attack and assured that efforts would be intensified to capture and prosecute those responsible. He emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to the security of Chinese nationals in the country, reflecting on the vital contributions of Chinese workers to Pakistan’s development.
Ambassador Jiang Zaidong thanked President Zardari for his gesture of solidarity and noted the widespread Pakistani condemnation of the terrorist act.
