Pasban Criticizes Government Economic Policies Amid Eid, Distributes Rations in North Karachi

Karachi, The Pasban Democratic Party (PDP), through its Vice Chairman Abdul Hakim Quaid, has voiced criticism against the government’s economic policies, linking them to diminished Eid celebrations and increased public hardship. Quaid highlighted the adverse impact of these policies, particularly the recent hike in petroleum product prices, on the population’s well-being.

According to Pasban Democratic Party, during a ration distribution event in North Karachi, Quaid pointed out the failure of government strategies to provide relief to the citizens. He noted that rampant inflation and ineffective control over mafias during Ramadan have compounded the struggles of the underprivileged. The PDP official asserted that government actions have not only fostered dependency but also exacerbated the economic burdens faced by Pakistan’s citizens, with over half of the population relying on charity and remittances.

The event, which saw the participation of various local officials and was marked by the distribution of hundreds of ration bags, served as a platform for Quaid to urge the government to shift focus from short-term aid to sustainable economic growth and self-reliance.
