Pakistan Sunni Tehreek Secretary General Calls for Enhanced Security for Clerics and Leaders

Karachi, Allama Bilal Saleem Qadri Shami, Secretary General of Pakistan Sunni Tehreek, has urged the state of Pakistan to bolster security for the leaders of Sunni Tehreek and other clerics and political figures in the country. This call comes in the wake of recent terrorist activities in Karachi, which have heightened feelings of insecurity among the populace. Allama Shami stressed the importance of government responsibility in ensuring the safety of these key figures.

According to Pakistan Sunni Tehreek, Allama Bilal Saleem Qadri Shami expressed these concerns during a meeting with scholars, Mashaikhs, and noble leaders. He acknowledged the efforts of Pakistan’s forces and security enforcement agencies in countering the threats posed by terrorists and external forces. However, he emphasized the need for more robust security measures to protect scholars and political leaders from ongoing threats.

Allama Shami pointed out that Pakistan Sunni Tehreek and Ahlul-Sunnah scholars are often targeted by enemies of Islam, who view them as obstacles in their path. The Sunni community, he noted, has frequently been the target of terrorism, and the martyrs of Pakistan Sunni Tehreek exemplify the risks faced by these groups. The current leaders of Pakistan Sunni Tehreek, he added, are also feeling insecure due to the lack of sufficient security.

The Secretary General also highlighted the broader context of external forces working against Pakistan’s prosperity and stability. He stressed that while the overall peace and order situation in Pakistan has improved, there remains a need for constant vigilance and enhanced security measures to protect against both internal and external threats.

Allama Bilal Saleem Qadri Shami’s statements underscore the ongoing challenges faced by religious and political leaders in Pakistan and the necessity for the government to take immediate action to safeguard these individuals and maintain national security.
