Karachi, February 12, 2023 (PPI-OT): Pakistan Peoples Party’s Women Wing Central President and MPA Faryal Talpur in her message on National Women’s Day pays tribute to the passion and struggle of Pakistani women for their exemplary role in every sphere of life. She said that today also reminds us of the historic struggle of Pakistani women for the democracy, adding that Mother of Democracy Begum Nusrat Bhutto and the Daughter of the East, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto led the movement to restoration of democracy against the dictatorship.
She said that Pakistan People’s Party has always taken revolutionary steps for women’s rights and development, adding that from representation in policy-making bodies to economic independence, the PPP has given countless gifts to Pakistani women She said that the national programs like First Women Bank, Police Station for Women and Lady Health Volunteers are hallmarks of PPP, adding that Benazir Income Support Programme, Land Ownership Rights to Women Farmers and Interest Free Loan Scheme for Business are the latest gift of PPP governments in country.
She said that the economic independence of Pakistani women was the dream of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, which Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and President Asif Ali Zardari are actively working to fulfill her dream in Pakistan.
