Pakistan People’s Party Plans Convoys for Bhutto’s Martyrdom Anniversary

Karachi, In anticipation of the anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s martyrdom, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Karachi Division is mobilizing support for a significant gathering in Garhi Khudabakhsh. Deputy Secretary Information Convener District East Asif Khan, during a meeting with party workers, emphasized the enduring legacy of Bhutto and the PPP’s commitment to democracy and justice.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Asif Khan spoke to party delegations in Karachi’s Liaison Office, stressing the need to recognize Bhutto as a political martyr and calling for legal reforms to address past injustices. He reflected on Bhutto’s contributions to Pakistan, including the provision of a unified constitution that upholds human rights and provincial autonomy, advocating for peaceful change through electoral processes.

The PPP plans to organize caravans from Karachi on April 2 and 3, leading to the main event in Garhi Khudabakhsh on April 3, to commemorate Bhutto’s legacy. Despite the years passed since Bhutto’s death, his influence remains strong among party supporters. The gathering aims to honor his memory and reinforce the PPP’s vision under the leadership of Bilawal Bhutto Zarari and Asif Ali Zardari.
