Pakistan Peoples Party Condemns Indian Aggression, Vows Strong Response

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has issued a strong rebuke of what it terms as India’s unprovoked aggression against Pakistan, asserting the nation’s right to a decisive response. In a press conference held in Islamabad, PPP’s central spokesperson, Shazia Marri, emphasized that Pakistan acted in self-defense and successfully thwarted India’s hostile attempts without targeting civilians.

Marri highlighted the effective response by Pakistan’s armed forces, noting the downing of enemy warplanes. In a broader address, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari reiterated the nation’s resolve, underscoring the vigilance and preparedness of Pakistan’s military forces. He affirmed the nation’s unity and the military’s commitment to defending national sovereignty.

Criticism was directed at the Indian government, with Marri accusing it of lacking resolve despite its military capabilities. She pointed out India’s failure to curb terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir and condemned the attack that resulted in the loss of 26 Pakistani lives. Marri also called for an impartial investigation into the Pulwama incident, citing India’s inability to provide credible evidence.

Other PPP leaders joined in condemning India’s actions. Mahesh Kumar Malani criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policies, while Agha Rafiullah praised the Pakistan Army’s role in safeguarding the nation.

The party urged the international community to intervene and restrain India from pursuing aggressive policies, advocating for peace in the region.
