According to Lahore University of Management Sciences, the success of the Career Fair and the high employment rate of its graduates are attributed to the dedicated efforts of the LUMS Career Services Office (CSO) and its 1,800 strong network of recruiting partners. The Career Fair serves as a critical platform for students across various disciplines to meet with potential employers, explore diverse career paths, and initiate their professional journeys in a competitive global landscape.
Dr. Ali Cheema, Vice Chancellor of LUMS, welcomed the participating organizations, emphasizing the Career Fair’s role in opening doors to exciting opportunities and empowering students. The event attracted representatives from prestigious companies such as British American Tobacco, Unilever Pakistan, PepsiCo, and Samsung, who offered invaluable guidance and insights into career choices and the dynamic job market.
To enhance engagement, the CSO provided recruiters with best practices and research on hiring from LUMS, while students benefited from the ‘Career Fair Readiness Series’ and a comprehensive research guide. This guide, which included placement data from the last three years, offered insights into hiring trends specific to various majors.
The fair also featured the LUMS and Industry Leadership Connect, a forum where university and industry leaders discussed collaboration opportunities to achieve common goals. The event’s extensive programming included on-spot screening interviews, information sessions on career options, and opportunities for students to submit their resumes and receive on-ground advice about their career choices and the requirements of the job market.
