Karachi Hosts Thrilling Matches in Master Oil Inter-Club Cricket Tournament

Karachi: The Master Oil Inter-Club Cricket Tournament, sponsored by Master Oil Lubricants and organized by the Regional Cricket Association Karachi, witnessed three more exciting matches yesterday. Among the standout performances, Ali Rehman’s brilliant century was the highlight, drawing attention from cricket enthusiasts across the city.

According to Regional Cricket Association Karachi, in the first match at the Afza Ground, Asifabad Sports clinched a victory against Ghulam Rasool Cricket Club by 18 runs. Asifabad Sports put up a strong total of 233 runs, thanks to Ali Rehman’s spectacular innings of 115 runs, which included 13 fours and 4 sixes. Umeer Mubarak also contributed significantly with 51 runs. In the bowling department, Muez Hanif and Hammad Ramadan took three wickets each. In response, Ghulam Rasool Cricket Club fell short, managing 215 runs despite efforts from Muhammad Fahad and Waqas Amin, who scored 44 and 40 runs, respectively.

The second match featured Sports Science Cricket Club overcoming Malir Muslim Cricket Club by six wickets at the Young Fighter Ground. Malir Muslim was all out for 103 runs, with Ahsanullah being the top scorer with 41 runs. Muhammad Sajjan starred with the ball, taking three wickets for just eight runs. Chasing a modest target, Sports Science Cricket Club reached 104 for four, led by Abdullah Tauseef’s 47 runs.

In the third match at the Pak Star Ground, Hydari Gymkhana outplayed Comrade Sports by a massive 149 runs. Hydari Gymkhana posted a solid 229 runs, with contributions from Abdullah Arif and Saeedur Rehman. Comrade Sports was bundled out for just 80 runs, with Hasnain Muhammad being the top scorer. Sameer-ul-Zaman was impressive with the ball, capturing three wickets.
