Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2024-25 Offers PKR12.6 Million Prize Pool, Begins Tomorrow

Lahore: The prestigious Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2024-25 is set to commence tomorrow with a total prize pot of PKR12.6 million. The tournament will feature 18 teams from 16 regional sides competing across seven cities. The defending champions, Karachi Region Whites, will start their campaign against Peshawar Region at Ashfaq Ground in Charsadda.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the winner of the tournament will receive PKR7.5 million, while the runners-up will take home PKR4 million. Teams have been organized into three groups for the initial stage of the competition, with each team guaranteed at least five matches in the group stages. The top team from each group will advance to the triangular stage, followed by the final scheduled from December 14 to 18, with venues to be announced later.

This season, for the first time, matches will also be held at three new venues: Ashfaq Cricket Ground in Charsadda, Rana Naveed Cricket Academy in Sheikhupura, and Saeed Sports City in Lahore, each hosting five matches. Moreover, this year’s tournament will feature Duke balls, selected after thorough analysis of ground and pitch conditions to best suit the local environments.
