Karachi: A significant march was held by Jamiat Ulema Pakistan in Hyderabad, advocating for the strict implementation of the Prohibition of Qadianism Act and calling for an immediate, detailed decision from the Supreme Court to uphold the law of Khatman-e-Nubuwwat, which defines the end of prophethood. The march saw widespread participation, highlighting the fervent support for this cause among the community.
According to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan, the procession moved from Market Chowk to Noorani Chowk station road, featuring prominent leaders including Nazeem Ali Arain, Dr. Yunus Danish, and Hafiz Ashfaq Hussain Qadri. The demonstrators, some draped in shrouds, underscored their commitment to defending the prophethood law, with slogans emphasizing their readiness to protect this fundamental aspect of their faith to the last. The event also commemorated the parliamentary resolution passed on September 7, 1974, which declared Qadianis as a non-Muslim minority, a move led by then Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, which the participants argued should be celebrated officially.
Speakers at the march called for national unity in safeguarding the prophethood law, emphasizing that any compromise or challenge to this law would be met with utmost resistance, ensuring its protection at all costs. The march underscored the community’s unwavering stance on this issue, linking it directly with their identity and faith.
